A quiet week, nothing much has happened really. However the scaffolding was removed yesterday, meaning we can see the extension properly for the first time – here it is:
Monthly Archives: August 2010
Windows were delivered today, but the scaffolding is in the way so they couldn’t be installed. No more news – apart from the fact that the bathroom is still standing.
No running, jumping or bombing in the bathroom please!
Why? Because the bathroom is being held up by three green metal acro props.
Hopefully our steel beams will be put in tomorrow, until then it’s to be tippy-toes only in that corner of the house. In other news, all the electrical cables and boxes are done, and neatly labelled ready for connecting up.
And yesterday they built us a bit of internal stud wall, complete with a rather narrow (but not too narrow) door – as demonstrated below:
One more development today – the cavity closers are in – ready for doors and windows soon hopefully!
The main roof tiles are now all done, so just a few details like flashing and ridge tiles to go, then the roof is done and the scaffolding can be taken away!
